The 18-hole “Otter Creek” course at the The Plantation Golf Club facility in Leesburg, Florida features 6,264 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72.
Course Overview
The course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope rating of 127 on Bermuda grass. The parkland style course is generally tree lined yet still room to get the tee shot in play for most of the round. However, you’ll need your straight shots on holes 13, 14, and 15, better known as “Otter’s Revenge.”
Tight and tree lined with a combination of Loblolly and Sand Pines, these holes will challenge every level of golfer. Currently the course is under a large renovation process, all 18 greens are being rebuilt and increased to their original size and in some cases, undulation changes and increased size. The practice putting green is being completely rebuilt, size will increase from 3000 square feet to over 9000 square feet with undulation changes there as well. And the practice chipping green also being rebuilt and enlarged. All 600 plus irrigation heads are being replaced and will operate with a two wire system. Currently the Front Nine and New Putting Green are open with the back nine and chipping green scheduled to open late spring 2023.
